Frequently Asked Questions
1. What should I expect at my first massage?
Your first session is all about your comfort and goals. You’ll complete a short intake to share your health history and areas of focus. Then, we’ll tailor your massage to your needs. You’ll be draped for privacy, and only the areas being worked on will be exposed.
2. How early should I arrive?
Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete intake and settle in. This ensures your session starts on time and you can relax before your massage begins.
3. How should I prepare for my massage?
Hydrate before your session.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Let us know about injuries, medications, or conditions that could affect your session.
4. What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens! We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules to avoid fees. For illnesses, injuries, or emergencies, we handle reschedules on a case-by-case basis.
5. Can I request specific pressure or techniques?
Absolutely! Your comfort guides the session. Let us know if you want gentle, medium, or deep pressure, and if you want any specific techniques included, such as cupping, hot stones, or aromatherapy.
6. Is massage safe during pregnancy?
Yes! We offer prenatal-safe massages. We’ll adjust your positioning and techniques for your comfort and safety. Always check with your healthcare provider first.
7. How should I take care of myself after a massage?
Drink plenty of water.
Move gently and stretch if comfortable.
Notice how your body feels over the next 24 hours; some soreness can be normal as your body releases tension.
8. Can I tip my massage therapist?
Yes, tips are appreciated but never required. You can tip in cash or via Square when booking.
9. Are gift cards available?
Yes! Gift cards can be purchased for any amount — perfect for birthdays, holidays, or self-care gifts.
